Phyllis Vera (Massingham) Ware

It is with much sadness that we announce the passing of Phyllis Vera Ware. Phyllis passed away peacefully early on the morning of May 16 with her husband and son by her side.

Beloved wife of Geoff, mother of Anthony and Bonnie, Nan to Evelyn, Kieran and Declan, Phyllis will be missed by many friends and family. Born to Joseph and Betty Massingham, and big sister to Tom, Christine and Debbie, Phyllis spent her early life in Southampton England, before making the difficult decision to move to Canada to start her family. Phyllis worked hard through her life to balance work and family, taking pride in becoming succesful in her career and in so doing helping to provide a wonderful life for her kids. She was much loved by her coworkers at Union Pump. While the last 13 years had been tough since losing Bonnie, Phyllis found great joy and happiness in seeing her grandchildren grow and flourish. She will be missed greatly by them.

A small visitation and ceremony will be held on Tuesday, May 23rd at Jennett Memorial Centre, located at 152 Bradford St. Barrie. There will be a short visitation starting at 2 pm, followed by a service at 3.  A special thank-you to the Doctors and nurses who made mum, and us, comfortable at the end. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the Canadian Mental Health Association.
