We are very sad to announce the passing of Leopoldo “Pol” Aguinaldo Padua Sr., peacefully at RVH Barrie on Friday September 8, 2023 at the age of 83.
Pol Padua of Barrie, beloved husband of Grace dela Cruz Padua, loving father of Ardin, Paul Jr, Lia Montague and her husband Josh. Cherished grandfather of Lily and Jaiden Montague.
Pol was a great entertainer. He loved singing karaoke and has participated in Senior Star Competition as a contestant and received several awards for his talent as an amazing singer.
The family will receive relatives and friends at the Basic Funerals and Cremation Choices – Jennett Memorial Centre at 152 Bradford St., Barrie ON L4N 3B5 at 10 am for funeral services and viewing. Interment will take place at 12 pm at Barrie Union Cemetery 338 Sunnidale Rd., Barrie, ON L4M 4S4. Celebration of life at 1-4 pm Barrie Canadian Legion Branch 147 Ferris Lane, Barrie ON L4M 4A6.
If desired, memorial donations to Terry Fox Run, Canadian Cancer Society, RVH Cancer Centre, Poppy Fund, Producers Circle and Performing Arts of Barrie or any charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
