June Anne (Harper) Ziegler

June 15, 1925 - January 20, 2022

June Anne (Harper) Ziegler passed away peacefully in her 97th year, surrounded by loved ones at Barrie’s Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre.

Beloved wife of Frederick Ziegler (deceased) and loving mother to daughter Lesley, son Andrew and daughter-in-law Marilyne. During her final days, June was grateful for the opportunity to say goodbye to her family, including her much loved grandchildren: Kristen (James), Ryanne (Eric), Brittany (Randy) and Charlaine.

June lived a full and exemplary life, inspiring those around her with kindness, generosity and wit. From traveling the world to tending her garden, she brought elegance, an appreciation for beauty and a sense of adventure to everything she did.

Those who knew her may take comfort from knowing hers was a life well lived. Her memory will be cherished by all those whose lives she touched.

The family would like to express their gratitude and appreciation to the staff at Whispering Pines Retirement Residence and the palliative care unit at the Royal Victoria Hospital, Barrie.

A visitation will be held at Basic Funerals & Cremation Choices - Jennett Memorial Centre, 152 Bradford Street in Barrie on Friday, February 4, 2022 from 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. and on Saturday, February 5, 2022 from 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. Those planning on attending the visitation are kindly asked to RSVP on the funeral home website to reserve their place or call 705-722-6656 for assistance. A private funeral service will be held at St. Matthew's Anglican Church, 3962 Bloor Street West, Etobicoke on Monday, February 7, 2022.
