Grace Evelyn Elliott

It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of dearly beloved sister Grace Evelyn Elliott, who died peacefully in her sleep on the morning of November 27, 2022. Her journey was not an easy path to travel during her blessed life of seventy-two years. Alas, in the end, her body had become too tired to stay with us any longer and her gentle soul longed to be at home with her Lord and Saviour. Our Grace will always be remembered as a child of God, who, like her namesake, graciously and quietly accepted life without complaint; fought the good fight, finished the race and kept the faith.

Today you crossed that finish line and we, your sisters and brothers, give thanks for your life and know that we will miss you immensely: Doris Beaumont (Bob), Donna McQuay, Valerie Marrow (Norm), Millie MacDonald (Doug deceased), Monty Elliott (deceased) Judi, Wayne Elliott (Donna deceased),Gordon Elliott (Shirly), Earl Elliott (Patricia) and Allan Elliott (Cathy), in addition to many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews (and spouses) and one great great nephew. Your death has left yet another hole in all of our hearts and lives forever, but we find some solace in knowing that you have changed your address to a place where your weary body is no longer suffering and your beautiful mind is at peace. Your loving, steadfast soul will live through us until we are united once more. May our memories of you remind us to stay fervently strong for the people we love; appreciate the good in others, even when we, ourselves, labour every step of the way, and finally, that we never give up the faith.  May you Rest in Peace and Rise in Glory. You will live in our hearts forever.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Salvation Army Bayside Mission in Barrie. This was Grace's all year round charity that she supported because she felt this mission cared for everyone in need, shared the love of Jesus and made a positive impact on the community, a better place for all of us.
