In Loving Memory of Antonio Tavares

March 1st 1951 - August 5th 2023

It’s with heavy hearts the family announces the passing of Antonio on Saturday August 5th 2023 at the age of 72 years old. Loving father of Diana Tavares Moniz, Tony Tavares and Shawn Tavares. Antonio will be missed also by grandchildren Marcelina, Marciano, Daniela, Bryan, Sofia, Nevaeh and Ava-Ley and all of his siblings, family and friends. Antonio loved everyone around him, he was the life of the party. He was known as the Portuguese Elvis. He was truly talented with his voice, he also played the accordion and harmonica. He also enjoyed crabbing and fishing with his children. A lover of animals and was truly the kindest person with a heart of gold. He will be deeply missed.

A visitation will be held at Basic Funerals - Jennett Memorial Centre, 152 Bradford Street, Barrie on Friday August 11th from 5:30pm-7:30pm with a service to follow at 7:30pm.
